MARIUS MYBURGH - SENIOR MANAGER

Coming from a detective environment, where the emphasis is on court-orientated investigations, lead by a prosecutor, with defined forensic principles in processing a crime scene, collecting and analysing evidence, Marius is able to apply this knowledge successfully in the computer crime investigation environment.Marius attended the Boot Camp training course in Forensic Tool Kit (FTK) and has received extensive in-house training in all other IT forensic tools.

Marius was involved in various cyber forensic investigations using a project driven approach and has gained valuable experience in the investigation of internal transgressions of legislation and IT policies by employees, malicious code/program attacks on computer networks, hacking and transgressions in terms of the new ETC Act. Many of these investigations were conducted with the co-operation of law enforcement agencies for clients such as the SABC, SASOL, Deloitte, MTN and ABSA.

Prior to joining Cyanre, Marius was a systems engineer at AST (Advanced Software Technologies) where he was responsible for:

• The development of systems according to client requirements.
• Helpdesk design and implementation with Remedy.
• Remedy development, Support, maintenance and administration.
• SQL, Unix Database administrator.
• Hardware and infrastructure support.
• Asset tracking with Netcensus.
• Software deployment with Radia to all clients.
• Network monitoring with Visionael.
• Development of Netcensus and maintenance thereof.
